COU's university-managed residences offer furnished rooms, communal spaces, study areas, fast WiFi and residential support staff — all within walking distance of classes, labs and the harbour precinct.

Applying for residence

Secure your place early.

Residence applications open alongside the admissions cycle. Places are allocated based on distance, need, application date and scholarship status. Apply early for the best chance of your preferred option.

Step 1: Receive your offer

Apply for accommodation after you receive an admissions offer or conditional offer from COU.

Step 2: Choose your residence

Select your preferred residence type and contract length. You can list preferences.

Step 3: Confirm and pay deposit

Pay the residence deposit to confirm your place. Move-in dates are shared before semester starts.

Housing support

Need help with accommodation costs or decisions?

COU's accommodation team provides free support for all students, including financial hardship housing assistance, tenancy advice and emergency placements.
